Taverna del Marinaio
One of the most iconic restaurants in town, Taverna del Marinaio is located in Portofino´s main square and overlooks the port. In the menu you'll find Ligurian classics.
Puny Restaurant
Puny is a well-established restaurant that is located in the town's main square, which can be admired from their covered patio. Be aware that reservations are necessary in order to eat here, where you'll be greeted by the owners Mr. and Mrs. Puny and be able to taste their pappardelle with pesto and tomato sauce.
Da Ö Batti
Located just a few steps away from the main square, Da Ö Batti is renowned for its "Scampi alla Batti" and homemade pesto. Its walls are lined with pictures detailing the story of its past owners.
La Terrazza
Located at the legendary Hotel Splendido of Portofino, La Terrazza is an upscale restaurant headed by an Italian chef. Perched on the city´s promontory, it offers a wide view of the harbour and classic signature dishes, such as trofie pasta with basil pesto.
Lo Stella Restaurant
Located at the seafront, Lo Stella Restaurant boasts a view of the wharf and the yachts anchored at the bay, to be enjoyed from their covered patio. They also have specials that differ each day and host several kinds of events, such as karaoke nights.
Strainer
Among the dishes that are available at this restaurant, the "Strainer Style" shrimps and the "Gerardo Style" sea bass are the ones who stick out. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with a vista of the docks and the surrounding woods, as well as a patio.
Trattoria Tripoli
A family-run business since 1911, Trattoria Tripoli offers a taste of Ligurian cuisine as well as of the house's wines. Their signature dish is the "Mandilli" al pesto, which is a particular kind of lasagna, and the outdoor seating gives a nice view of the main square and the bay.
Bars and Nightlife
Winterose Bar
Located away from the more crowded alleys, Winterose is a bar in which you can enjoy a glass of wine accompanied by appetisers made with Parma ham and Valtellina cheese, all while enjoying a front row view of the bay.
La Gritta
Dishes served here all follow the Italian tradition: they're mainly fish-based and joined by cocktails made with champagne and fresh fruit. La Gritta American bar also features a floating terrace, which can be booked for parties and events. It offers a sweeping view of the harbour.
Al Faro di Portofino
Just below the lighthouse, on a terrace with a view of the sea, you can find the Al Faro Restaurant. After a walk up the stairway "Salita San Giorgio" treat yourself with one of their cocktails or a glass of wine.
Mariuccia Bar
This bar's location makes it possible to see both the boats docked at the bay and the bustling main square of the town from their veranda, all while sipping on a glass of Aperol or prosecco.
Covo Di Nord-Est
Covo Di Nord-Est is the Riviera's most famous nightclub, and features both indoor and outdoor sections: the bar is located in the former, while the dance floor and the sofas, arranged differently every night, can be found in the latter. Their main DJ console hosts local artists as well as more well known names in the music industry.
Beaches
Paraggi Beach
Only a few hundred meters away from Portofino, Paraggi Beach is a natural inlet of emerald water and natural wonders. Loved by both tourists and locals alike it is renowned for its sea bottom, rich in red corals that belong to Portofino´s marine sanctuary.
La Langosteria Paraggi
A restaurant and a beach bar pieds-dans-l’eau, located in the famous Bagni Fiore resort. Fine dining with a breath-taking panorama.
Santa Margherita Beach
The coastline of Santa Margherita Ligure stretches almost 4 kilometers along the sea and is characterized by the existence of a long beach strip with the lack of secluded coves and steep shores, and port, located in the Central part of the coast.
Hotel Metropole
Beach resort with sunbeds and towels. The terraces are very relaxing and there is also a small sandy area, water slide and two table tennis tables where children can play in complete safety. A new garden terrace for playing cards completes the service.
